Today’s bad guys are who they are because the good guys may have created perceptions that were not quite what they may have intended.

Darwin rejected unchanging forms as everything everywhere was evolving. It is growing faster and faster, and we have a more difficult and complex time catching up. David Hardoon mentioned in a presentation that the sad part is that data is not being maximised. One might say it was never maximised. Perhaps with AI, more can be used for the better. The bad guys will be there with us, keeping us in line. The devil was invented way back. The Jewish people took it forward to explain why their God was not getting things done for them.

Understanding history might help us understand the world around us, how it is evolving and why some countries, economic units, political units, and others behave the way they do. People react to others without understanding.

I found that this trilogy helps us understand today’s geopolitical situation in the order it is shown. It is not all simple as it looks. Today’s bad guys are who they are because the good guys may have created perceptions that were not quite what they may have intended.

Each book on its own enriches. Together, they’re mini masters of today’s situation and why. Humanity beats the spices of Indian curries in a blend of misunderstandings caused by personal agendas, ambition, ignorance, arrogance, greed, violence, and stupidity, yet our survival gene and our thriving gene get together have found ways to elevate our lives for the better.

We are indeed a unique species. If one does not believe in God, one is tempted because there is no limit to human stupidity, as Einstein has been attributed to have said, yet look at how far we have gone in so little time with the future; we need to believe, brighter than ever despite the clouds on the horizon. You will see in Kagan’s trilogy darker skies that rained, wet and passed as we hid, dried, and kept at it better and better every time.
