Aboitiz Group 2025 Wrapped

We are at the finish line for 2025 so let’s take a moment to reflect on a year that moved quickly and delivered meaningful wins across the Aboitiz Group.

In the October SuperDuperCon, Aboitiz Group President and CEO Sabin Aboitiz reflected on what has long defined the organization’s journey—adaptability:

“We started as a trading company, became a shipping company, then built power plants, banks, food businesses, tech companies, and even smart cities. If we didn’t adapt, we’d still be loading abaca on boats in Ormoc. But adaptability doesn’t just mean going along with change—it means being ready to change yourself. The hardest part of change isn’t the structure—it’s the people. New roles, new setups, new ways of working—they’re uncomfortable. But that’s where growth happens. I’ll say it again: The people who succeed the most aren’t the smartest or the most experienced—they’re the ones who stay curious, flexible, and open. They don’t say, ‘This is how I’ve always done it.’ They say, ‘Let’s see if there’s a better way.’”
