In observance of National Fire Prevention Month this March, Aboitiz Construction carried out a series of fire drill activities across its various project sites. The initiative focused on equipping the workforce with practical skills and ensuring all project locations are prepared for fire-related emergencies.
The drills were conducted with the active participation of Project Management Teams (PMT), the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and client partners. This collaboration ensured that exercises remained consistent with national safety standards while addressing the specific logistical needs of each construction site.
These drills familiarized employees with emergency procedures while allowing fire wardens and first aiders to practice their specific roles, ensuring a coordinated response that minimizes panic. Beyond training, the exercises helped identify hazards and provided data for post-drill evaluations to refine safety policies and training programs.

Aligned with its “Engineered for Excellence” commitment, Aboitiz Construction recently received recertifications for its Occupational Health and Safety Management System, Quality Management System, and Environmental Management System. The certifications were issued by Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification services.
