Aboitiz Construction, in collaboration with Pilmico Foods Corporation (PFC) and through the KINDer funds of Aboitiz Foundation, Inc., donated Php 75,000 worth of breads to the community pantries in Brgy. Pinamucan Ibaba, Batangas City and Brgy. Pag-Asa, Olongapo City.
The activity aimed to extend help and assistance to those that were greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, and to contribute in providing food security to their communities.
“Since many families are struggling because of the pandemic, these donations will help in alleviating the impact of the situation. Your donations proved that the spirit of camaraderie is very important, now more than ever,” said Zyrone Espiritu, Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman of Brgy. Pag-Asa.
Aboitiz Construction worked with its stakeholders in the area and coordinated with the main organizers of the local community pantries for the schedule of the donations. Meanwhile, Pilmico tapped nearby bakeries to provide breads to the pantries.
